Overview

What This Policy Covers

This Cookie Policy explains how Togolist LLC ("Togolist," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies, web beacons, pixels, software development kits (SDKs), and similar tracking technologies (collectively, "Cookies") when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (the "Platform").

This Cookie Policy is incorporated by reference into our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. By using the Platform, you consent to the use of Cookies as described in this Policy. Where consent is required by law (including under GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive), we will seek your explicit consent through a cookie consent mechanism before placing non-essential Cookies.

✎ Attorney Note

The ePrivacy Directive (EU Cookie Directive) and GDPR together require: (1) informed consent before non-essential cookies are placed on EU users' devices; (2) the ability to withdraw consent as easily as it was given; and (3) a clear explanation of what cookies are used and for what purpose. Implement a Consent Management Platform (CMP) such as OneTrust, Osano, or Cookiebot before serving EU users.

section 01 What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website or use an application. They are widely used to make platforms work more efficiently and to provide information to the platform owner.

Similar technologies include: web beacons (tiny graphics that track whether content has been viewed); pixels (code snippets that fire when a user performs a specific action); SDKs (software libraries embedded in mobile apps); and local storage (browser-side data storage). This Policy refers to all of these technologies collectively as "Cookies."

section 02 Who Places Cookies

2.1 First-Party Cookies

First-party Cookies are set directly by Togolist to operate the Platform, remember your preferences, and provide core functionality. Togolist controls the data collected by first-party Cookies.

2.2 Third-Party Cookies

Third-party Cookies are set by our service providers and partners. These include analytics providers, advertising networks, social media platforms, and payment processors. Third-party cookies are governed by those parties' own privacy policies.

Current categories of third-party cookie providers include: analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude); attribution and mobile measurement (e.g., Adjust, AppsFlyer); cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Cloudflare); payment processors (e.g., Stripe); and customer support tools (e.g., Intercom, Zendesk).

✎ Attorney Note

If Togolist ever introduces third-party advertising (serving ads from external brands), the advertising cookie disclosures must be updated and CCPA "sharing" opt-out obligations will apply. Do not expand to third-party ad serving without legal review.

In our mobile application, third-party SDKs may collect: device identifiers (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android); app usage events and session data; crash and performance reports; and attribution and install source data. If your browser or device sends a GPC signal, we will treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information under applicable law.

✎ Attorney Note

GPC recognition is required under CCPA/CPRA for California users and increasingly expected under Colorado and other state privacy laws. Implementing GPC recognition before launch is recommended for California compliance.

section 06 Cookies and the GDPR

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the following GDPR-specific provisions apply:

6.1 Legal Basis for Processing

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies: processed on the basis of legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) — specifically, the interest in providing a functioning, secure platform. No consent required.

  • All Other Cookies: processed on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

6.2 Your Rights Under GDPR

As an EEA/UK user, you have the right to: access personal data collected through Cookies; request deletion of Cookie-collected data; withdraw consent at any time; and lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Contact togolistapp@gmail.com to exercise these rights.

6.3 International Transfers

Some of our third-party cookie providers transfer data outside the EEA. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other GDPR-recognized transfer mechanisms. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

section 07 Policy Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use, our business practices, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the cookie consent banner, in-app notices, or email. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated Cookie Policy.
